Scania's Board of Directors and owners have not set foot on dividend payments yet. No meeting has yet been held, according to the truck manufacturer's communications director Erik Ljungberg.

This appeal if Scania is in fact entitled to state severance pay if the German owner Traton distributes a dividend.

Half of the profits go to Traton

The proposal for the Annual General Meeting, which has been postponed, is that half of Scania's profits during the last year should be distributed to the owner Traton. But it has not yet been clubbed, according to Ljungberg, who says that the company makes the interpretation that they can not receive severance pay if a dividend is provided, according to the debate that flared up last week.

So the final decision is now with the owner Traton.

Negotiations on extended short-term leave

- Neither Scania nor Traton have had a general meeting, so this is only speculation so far, says Hans-Åke Danielsson, press spokesman at Scania to SVT News Södertälje.

At the same time, negotiations are underway with the unions to extend the agreement on short-term permits for staff in Södertälje.

- The situation is tough for the company right now and we hope to reach an agreement soon. The current agreement is valid until May, but the government has given the opportunity to extend to last September, says Danielsson.
