“For the period from May 7 to 12, 2020, among foodstuffs, prices for buckwheat increased most of all - by 1.3%," the agency reports to RIA Novosti.

It is noted that in 13 regions of Russia, buckwheat has risen in price by 3.5% or more.

At the same time, in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra it fell by 3.3%, North Ossetia-Alania - by 2.9%.

It is also reported that from May 7 to 12, prices for polished rice (1%), black tea (0.4%), sunflower oil, wheat flour, vermicelli, pasta and chocolate candies (0.3%) increased. , canned meat, canned vegetables for baby food, rye bread and salt (0.2%).

Prices for chicken meat decreased by 1%, chicken eggs - by 0.9%, granulated sugar and margarine fell by 0.2%, pork, sausages, canned meat for baby food, cookies - by 0.1%.

The department said that “the increase in prices for fruits and vegetables amounted to an average of 0.8%, including for potatoes - 2.3%, apples - 1.9%, white cabbage - 1.8%, onions - 1, 5%, carrots - 1.2%. ” 

Earlier it was reported that the federal antimonopoly service, together with the prosecutor's office, is taking measures to prevent unreasonable price increases for buckwheat.
