Psychiatric care for healthcare workers and children UN 14 May 14:14

As the spread of new coronaviruses continues to spread, the United Nations has compiled a report on the effects of anxiety about infections and restrictions on going out on mental health, providing mental health care to health care workers and children in anti-virus measures. We are asking each country to work as part of it.

On the 13th, the United Nations investigated the impact of the spread of the new coronavirus on people's mental health and published a report.

According to the report, many people around the world are forced to live uncontrolled due to restrictions on going out, and are also under various stresses such as fear of infection and future anxiety.

Among them, the mental burden on health workers who work in harsh environments is large.
▽ In Canada, it was reported that about half of the health workers needed mental care, and in
China, depression and insomnia were reported. It is said that many medical professionals who developed such symptoms were also reported.

There
are also reports that children are under a lot of stress due to restrictions on going out and school closures, which affects their behavior and emotional expressions in Italy and Spain.

Furthermore, the more vulnerable people, such as women and people living in conflict areas, need more mental care.

For this reason, the United Nations urges countries to take urgent measures such as including mental care as part of antivirus measures and expanding services that are accessible to more people.
