Twenty-six people in elderly homes and 15 who are homeless in Uppsala have now passed away after being infected by the coronavirus.
"I can conclude that our measures have not been sufficient and that is why we need to do more," says Caroline Hoffstedet, chair of the Elderly Committee.
In order to stop the development, a special team within the home service is now activated who only visit the elderly who are infected. In addition, preventive hygiene inspections should be carried out in the elderly to minimize the risk of infection. and from now on visor is standard protective equipment.
