The PGA Championship, one of four Grand Slam tournaments, will take place in 2025 on the Quail Hollow course in North Carolina, its president Suzy Whaley announced Thursday.

"The Quail Hollow course has a well-deserved reputation as a serious test for the best golfers in the world," said Suzy Whaley.

Located in Charlotte, this course, opened in 1961, and which already hosted the PGA championship in 2017, will also be the scene of the Presidents Cup next year, a competition that pits the United States against an international team.

"The fact that Charlotte is hosting the PGA championship for the second time in eight years is an incredible honor," said city mayor Vi Lyles.

Next year, the 103rd PGA Championship will be held on Kiawah Island, South Carolina, before going to Oak Hill (New York) in 2023 then to Valhalla (Kentucky) in 2024 and finally Quail Hollow.
