France: a platform on the left to invent "the world after"

One hundred and fifty personalities, political leaders and intellectuals including the green MEP Yannick Jadot, the first secretary of the PS Olivier Faure or the economist Thomas Piketty, publish this Thursday May 14 in a column in several media to propose solutions and invent the post-Covid-19.

Some on the left have been promising a joint initiative for several weeks soon. The coronavirus crisis , explained for example the first secretary of the PS Olivier Faure, acted like an electric shock. Many people have started talking again, said the boss of the Socialists. So, from phone calls in videoconferences, a text was born.

The title of this tribune is "At the heart of the crisis, let's build the future" and calls for the ecological and social transformation of France and a list of the main principles to achieve it: the end of productivism and financial capitalism, the refounding of institutions France and the European Union, or the introduction of demanding social and environmental specifications in the event of public aid. 

In short, a whole series of themes for reflection which could serve as the basis for a future program for the presidential election of 2022.

We are not there yet, assure the signatories who, for the moment, propose to meet in the coming months for a major convention.

The entire left participated in this initiative, with the exception, however, of the New Anti-Capitalist Party and rebellious France.
