A US court has decided to release about $ 20 million in North Korea's pending funding information to the family of an American Otto Wormbir, who died after being held in North Korea after being detained and coma.

According to the US Voice Broadcasting, the Washington DC Federal Court granted 'protection orders' to three banks such as Wells Fargo, JP Morgan Chase, and New York Melon, which have funds related to North Korea on the 11th.

Accordingly, banks are required to disclose general information on North Korea-related funds, such as account numbers, owners, and addresses, as well as information on the background of depositing funds.

These banks are known to have a total of $ 29.79 million in North Korean funds.

The family has been tracking assets held by banks in its home country based on data on North Korean assets in the United States, which were accessed from the Ministry of Finance's Overseas Assets Control (OFAC) since last year.
