It was at 17.30 on Tuesday that the ambulance was alerted to a smaller road in central Lerum. There, two people, at least one of whom had a child, were tripped by a moped. In close proximity to the accident site was a police car.

- The patrol gets a view of the moped, and the moped gets a view of the patrol, and thus the moped leaves from there. In connection with that, they drive off the road, says Johan Lundberg, local police area manager in Alingås.

Was there a police hunt before the accident?

- There is no indication that there should have been anything subsequent.

Since there were police officers in such close proximity to the accident, is there any investigation into possible service errors?

- It is always done in connection with such events, that we look at what has happened. But it is not yet clear, but this investigation is now compiled.

Johan Lundberg says that the police started life saving shortly after the accident. Then several ambulances arrived at the scene.

- Six ambulances were sent to the scene, as well as an ambulance helicopter that turned, says Gunilla Jensen, team leader at SOS Alarm.
