Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli was assaulted during a burglary at his home on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday by two thieves armed with a knife but the English international is not reported to have suffered any serious injuries, the Daily newspaper reported. Mail.
"It was a horrible experience but we are ok now," said the 24-year-old on his Twitter account on Wednesday evening.
"The police were contacted at around 12:35 am Wednesday about a burglary" in a residential area of London, said a spokesman for the police, quoted in the Daily Mail.
According to this source, two men broke into the home of the Spurs community, where he is confined due to coronavirus. Alli was with his partner, his brother, the latter's partner and a friend.
"Two men entered the property and stole jewelry, including watches, before fleeing," said the spokesman for the police, quoted in the Daily Mail.
No arrests have been made.
