The PP is going to propose today in Congress a plan for the parliamentary recovery commission to focus its efforts on monitoring the state of alarm. To this end, its ultimate purpose would be "to prepare an opinion that examines the measures adopted after the declaration of the state of alarm since the start of the crisis and, with a correct diagnosis, will propose the most appropriate strategies and initiatives to reverse the negative consequences of the crisis, in order to accelerate the process of economic and social recovery. "

That opinion could be concluded, according to the PP, "before July 5 and be approved in the plenary session of the Congress of Deputies in the second week of July." The 'popular' set a tight schedule: "The Commission will hold sessions four days a week at least until the end of the work." That is, at least 28 sessions from May 18: every Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The proposal also demands that the commission become a focus of information and (total) transparency on the policies taken in this crisis. For this reason, he assures that "the parliamentary groups will be free to request as much documentation as is pertinent in relation to the matters addressed in this committee", without any limit.

All information on contracts, analysis, experts, criteria for de-escalation, internal reports, decision-making ... "Administrations, institutions, entities and experts may be requested to consider and will serve as a documentary basis for analysis and formulation of conclusions ", assures the proposal.

But not only that: everything would be 'declassified' and made available to all Spaniards, for the sake of maximum transparency. "The documentation will be public and any citizen can access it," reads the PP's proposal. Not surprisingly, all the information "will be made available to the Bureau of the Commission for distribution to the rest of the Parliamentary Groups as soon as it is available."

The PP demands that they be summoned to the commission, "in public appearance and without restrictions", representatives of all the sectors affected by the pandemic and "the main responsible for the decisions made by the Government during these weeks." "All the appearances will be public and all the work of the commission, transparent," and "the meetings will be open to monitoring by the media," say the "popular".

The PP proposes, as Pablo Casado announced yesterday, that the working sessions are developed around five axes of analysis: health protection, economic reactivation, social welfare, public liberties and the European Union. "Each group will designate experts or social or institutional representatives, if they consider it so," in proportion to the number of seats they have.
