“The Serbian Minister, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Alexander Vucic, thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin and Army General Sergei Shoigu for the assistance provided by the consolidated detachment of the Russian Armed Forces in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19,” the ministry said in a statement to RT.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia praised the help and professionalism of Russian medical and nursing teams.
The ministers also discussed bilateral military cooperation and the further development of ties.
It was previously reported that Russian specialists took part in the disinfection of four facilities in Serbia.
On May 6, the Serbian parliament lifted the state of emergency imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
