It has been almost exactly six months since 17-year-old Wilma was last seen alive, at an address in Uddevalla. For weeks, several thousand volunteers searched for her, but it took almost two weeks before police announced that they had found a body part confirming that she was dead.

On Wednesday morning, the prosecutor announced the charge against her boyfriend of 20 years, who is suspected to be behind Wilma's disappearance and death.

It shows that the body part found was Wilma's head and on the head are clear signs of blunt force. The boyfriend is also prosecuted for violation of matrimonial peace as he is, according to the prosecution, the one who separated the head from the body and thereby "injured and shamed the deceased body".

Comprehensive evidence

According to the indictment, there is technical evidence in the form of, among other things, fingerprints in connection with the location where the body part was found. A number of DNA findings have also been made and there are also a number of testimonials from people who made observations in connection with the incident of the suspected murder.

There are extensive finds in the form of traces of Vilma both in and in connection with the boyfriend's home. According to the prosecution, police and prosecutors are certain that the boyfriend has disposed of the remaining part of Vilma in one or more unknown places.

Throughout the course of the investigation, he has refused a crime.
