The Ministry of Justice in Norway is now releasing a bit on the entry ban regulation that has been in effect since March 15.

- We are now open to EEA citizens who visit children, spouses or cohabitants. Of course, minor EEA citizens may also visit their parents in Norway, Justice Minister Monica Mæland (H) tells VG.

The new rules start to apply immediately, but the Minister emphasizes, however, that the quarantine rules continue to apply. This means that Norwegians who have visited Sweden still have to spend ten days in quarantine when they return.

Cheering happy Germans

Many of the Germans are happy to be able to visit their cottages in Norway. One of them is German Martin Ehlers who longed for his summer paradise in Vanylven in Møre og Romsdal.

- We are grateful that the Norwegian state has opened this opportunity, I did not expect it to go so quickly, he tells NRK.

But Norwegians who want to visit cabins in Sweden, and hope for relief, can be disappointed. They still have to quarantine for 10 days when they return to Norway.
