Maintenance, turning and washing of 111 Öresund trains will soon be taken care of at the now completed train depot in Kärråkra.

"The deposit means that we will have maintenance at home," says Carina Zachau (M), chair of the public transport committee in Region Skåne, about the Hässleholmsdepån.

- This means greater flexibility for our own part and hopefully this means that our travelers will experience that the trains are whole and clean and that they will arrive and leave on time, Zachau continues.

Lars Johnsson (M), chairman of the local council in Hässleholm, is also pleased with the new facility.

- Partly it means new jobs. In part, this also strengthens Hässleholm's strategic location as a hub for train traffic in southern Sweden, says Lars Johnsson.

The deposit has cost SEK 1.5 billion to build.
