The Interior Ministry has decided to staggered end the incommunicado detention of prisoners agreed in the state of alarm to prevent the spread of the pandemic. From tomorrow, in a still limited way, the inmates will recover ordinary communications and permits.

As published by the BOE, the order of the Ministry of Fernando Grande-Marlaska indicates that the prisoners will be able to recover the communications in the parlors. In addition, it specifies that inmates with exit permits granted and suspended after the application of the extraordinary measures will be able to enjoy them again.

They also point out that the inmates classified in the third degree or who have applied the flexibility regime and are assigned to social integration centers, open sections or ordinary centers, may continue to leave.

"In any case, in any displacement the recommendations and obligations dictated by the health authorities must be respected," adds the BOE.

Likewise, the transfers of the inmates are already recovered when requested by the judicial authorities, transfers for sanitary reasons and those that due to regimental or treatment circumstances are required, depending on the sanitary indications that, in each case and moment, are adopted .

Educational, training, therapeutic, sports, cultural and religious activities are resumed inside the penitentiary centers, depending on their situation and the measures that may be adopted by the competent authorities in the matter.

However, Interior warns that the aforementioned actions and activities may be reversed if the epidemiological situation so advises, globally or individually for one or more penitentiary centers.
