According to the chairman of the National Parents Committee, Irina Volynets, the decrease in the number of marriages can be considered insignificant, in particular due to the reduction in the number of young people due to demographic characteristics.
“There are fewer divorces: in times of crisis, people are more likely to get closer than vice versa. It is also worth noting that at the very beginning of this year, Vladimir Putin delivered a message to the Federal Assembly, during which unprecedented measures to support the family were voiced. It is likely that to some extent this could affect the decrease in the number of divorces, and it is important to create all the conditions for this trend to continue, ”she said.
Earlier, the National Parents Committee proposed to provide families on the verge of divorce with free psychological services.
