For the agreement on simplification of the visa regime between Belarus and the EU, 634 European deputies voted, 48 opposed, four parliamentarians abstained.

The readmission agreement was approved by 560 deputies, 117 opposed, 13 more abstained from voting.

In mid-April, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed an agreement with the European Union on visa facilitation, which implies a mutual reduction in the cost of visas from € 60 to € 35 and an increase in the length of stay to 180 days a year.
