The Chinese Consul General in Johannesburg Tang Middle East and South Africa Sun Ping, chairman of Kant, and Marus Molokomme, deputy director of the Free State Department of Health attended the meeting.

  Tang Middle East said at the handover ceremony that at the critical moment when South Africa is fully fighting the epidemic, the Chinese government and people feel the same and are willing to provide active support and practical assistance to the south. The Consulate General highly appreciated Kant's efforts to expand its business while not forgetting to give back to the South African society and local people, generously supporting anti-epidemic materials, and witnessed the friendly friendship between the people of China and South Africa in the same boat and mutual support. The Consulate General will maintain unity and cooperation with the Provincial Government of Free State and work together to overcome the epidemic as soon as possible.

  Marcus introduced the epidemic prevention and control situation in Free State, and on behalf of the provincial government, he sincerely appreciates the epidemic prevention materials donated by China. He said that the shortage of protective materials is one of the challenges faced by the provincial government. These donated materials are sent in the snow and will provide huge support to the governments at all levels in the Free State to fight the epidemic.

  It is understood that the materials donated by Kant South Africa to the Free State Provincial Government include 45,000 disposable adult hoods, 5,760 bottles of disinfectant, and 600 pieces of protective clothing, which are the first batch of anti-epidemic materials handed over. The company also plans to continue donating 45,000 disposable adult masks, 30,000 disposable child masks, disinfectants, protective clothing and other items to other regions and related departments.
