China News Service, May 13th, comprehensive foreign media reported on the 12th that Boeing encountered "zero orders" in April, which was the second month this year that the company did not receive orders. On the 12th local time, Boeing also said that only six aircraft were delivered in April, which means that in the first four months of 2020, a total of 56 aircraft were delivered, a 67% year-on-year decrease from 2019.

Before the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, Boeing was in financial trouble because of the grounding of the 737 Max series of aircraft. However, the total number of new aircraft orders cancelled in 2020 was nearly 300, exceeding the total number of orders cancelled after the 737 Max crash in 2019.

Under the epidemic, the global aviation industry was severely hit. In order to curb the spread of the new coronavirus, blockades have been implemented in many parts of the world, leading to a significant drop in air travel demand, and airlines have delayed aircraft delivery due to cash shortages.

Recently, Boeing CEO David Calhoun said in an interview that the aviation industry is witnessing a "doom" moment. He expects at least one major US airline to fail in 2020.
