Sixty-three complaints against members of the government have so far been filed with the Court of Justice of the Republic to denounce their management of the coronavirus crisis, according to a count announced Tuesday by the Attorney General at the Court of Cassation François Molins on RTL. The CJR is the only body empowered to judge acts committed by members of the government in their office. The Head of State, Emmanuel Macron, is criminally irresponsible for acts carried out in the exercise of his functions.

These complaints, the first of which were lodged at the end of March at the start of confinement, are currently being examined by the requests commission of the CJR, "which acts as a filter and will have to assess for itself the follow-up to be given to these 63 complaints ”. This commission, composed of ten high-ranking magistrates, can "decide either the classification without any follow-up or the transmission to the public prosecutor who would then be required to seize the commission of instruction which will act finally as an examining magistrate", a -he explains.

Digested and reasoned complaints, others not

These complaints concern "most often the Prime Minister, the two successive Ministers of Health" as well as their counterparts in Justice, Labor and the Interior. “These complaints can come from very different horizons (…) of private individuals, unions, associations, doctors… We find a little all cases, with complaints in one page absolutely not motivated and others more detailed and more referenced, about twenty pages, "detailed the Attorney General.

Among the complainants are a collective of doctors and unions, such as the prison CGT or Vigi-Police. At least fifteen complaints have been made by detainees, according to a judicial source. The complainants denounce, as the case may be, facts of "endangering the life of others", "manslaughter", "failure to assist a person in danger" or failure to take timely action to contain the epidemic .

In parallel, 47 complaints related to this crisis management have been registered by the public health department of the Paris public prosecutor's office, according to a count on Tuesday from a judicial source. Emanating from individuals, groups or elected officials, they were filed either against X or against officials of the administration, in particular the Director General of Health Jérôme Salomon. The prosecution must decide soon on their classification without action or on possible initiations of judicial inquiries.
