Russia begins to awaken from its lethargy established by decree in March. The smoke of the industry and the noise of the works have returned. Vladimir Putin yesterday ordered the Russians to return to work after six weeks declared "non-working" to contain the pandemic. The Russian leader has taken the step before the bad state of the national economy, and despite the fact that Russia surpassed Italy on Monday in cases of Covid-19.

Confinement in the capital will continue until at least May 31. If with the month of June the Muscovites go abroad, they will have been locked up in their houses for two months under the uncertainty of the scope of the pandemic. The newspaper The Moscow Times quoted experts according to which the official statistics in Moscow (956 dead) only include 35% of the deceased diagnosed with coronavirus.
Conditions for passing phase
In Russia, "paid vacations" cannot be extended any longer. But there will be fiscal truces. "The 'Tsar Putin' has told us that he is going to refund the taxes to the self-employed, to see if it is true," joked Constantin, a private teacher.
At the moment there are 11 Russian regions that would already be ready to lift the restrictions in their first and second phase. This scenario includes walks with children, outdoor sports and business reopening. To access this new regime, they must prove that they meet the three conditions imposed by the authorities: spread coefficient, number of free beds and 100,000 daily tests . Moscow and its metropolitan region have not passed this test, so little has changed in the Russian capital.

The Saint George hospital in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, which houses patients infected with Covid-19, has suffered a fire that affected the sixth floor of the building and required the action of the fire department, reports the RT channel.
The fire has left at least five dead : "five patients who were on artificial respirators" and could not move. According to the TASS agency an emergency services sources, about 150 people have had to be evacuated from the building. According to local media, the fire may have been due to a short circuit in a respirator.
"The focus of the fire was in the 'red zone' for resuscitation" of the hospital, just where coronavirus-infected patients are admitted. This hospital center was the image of the pandemic in Russia a few days ago when a photo of a row of ambulances that went around the compound trying to enter was released.
