SVT's data journalists have taken advantage of data from Swedish Real Estate Statistics, which shows that the number of villas sold in the county has increased compared to the same time last year. When it comes to condominiums, the number of properties sold decreased both in March and April in the county compared with last year. 11 percent fewer condominiums were sold in March compared to last year. In April, the decrease was 20 percent. However, the number of sales in some municipalities is few, which means that the figures should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Housing rights are more affected

When it comes to price trends for villas and condominiums, there are no comparative figures last year. Figures from sales made over the past three months show that prices for villas have risen slightly overall in the county. However, there is no information from 10 out of 15 municipalities, as fewer than 25 sales were made there. The only municipality where prices have dropped a few percent is Borlänge.

Price falls are visible

The prices of condominiums in the past three months have gone down almost twenty percent in the county. However, there is only data from four municipalities, as the number of sales in other municipalities has been less than 25. In Falun, Borlänge and Ludvika, prices have reversed. The exception is Malung-Sälen, where prices have risen slightly.
