An Egyptian doctor accidentally discovered that she was infected with Corona virus, as she was treating people with the virus in Al-Zahra Hospital of Al-Azhar University in Cairo, and one of the most important hospitals devoted to isolating those infected with the new Corona virus, which found that dozens of its workers were infected with Covid-19.

The doctor, who refused to give her name to the American "Al Hurra" channel, was taking samples from some doctors and hospital staff after discovering some of the injuries

The doctor wanted to take the test for herself, given that she had examined the patients, but the hospital administration and officials in Egypt insist that the test should not be taken for those who do not have symptoms of corona infection.

After she took the samples for all the patients, she left one, took a smear to herself to check and sent it with the rest of the samples for testing, so the surprise was that she was also infected without symptoms.

The Vice President of Al-Azhar University, General Supervisor of Hospitals, Dr. Mahmoud Siddik, announced that Dr. Nira Moftah, Dean of Corona virus, had been infected with dean of Corona Virus after contact with those afflicted with Al-Zahra Hospital in Abbasiya, in statements to "Masrawy" website.

Dr. Ahmed Safwat, a member of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate, revealed the positivity of 35 samples of medical staff with Corona virus, out of 50 surveys in Al-Zahra University Hospital, including 18 doctors and three faculty administrators.

"This is a catastrophe with all the word holds," Safwat said, as quoted by local newspapers. "Noting that failure to examine the medical sector more will lead us to a catastrophe."

The former Syndicate of Doctors of Egypt, Dr. Mona Mina, said that accessing "the work of the smear and the personalized analysis of Corona and finding a place to book in an isolation hospital has become a difficult and dear thing, about which we conduct many contacts and endeavors, and unfortunately sometimes we do not succeed."

Mina called for opening hospitals equipped for isolation, "Do not leave patients after the smears to die in their homes."

The total number of coronavirus infections in Zahra University Hospital is only about 50 cases, at least so far, according to doctor Nour al-Shami, who is also infected with the virus.

The Vice President of Al-Azhar University announced that Al-Zahra Hospital will be closed for two weeks after the emergence of injuries, in order to sterilize, and that the cases in isolation will be transferred to the hospitals of Sayyid Jalal and Al-Hussein University and also affiliated with Al-Azhar University.

He explained that the injury of the medical staff came as a result of their contact with a hospital employee, who was transmitted to the disease by his wife, who works as an employee in the administrative building, and was infected from outside the hospital.

Egypt closed several hospitals after it found cases of corona, such as the Oncology Institute.
