Three of the stolen statues are on his wife Elise Eldh, artist Carl Eldh himself and daughter Brita Eldh, writes BLT.

This is not the first time these statues have disappeared from the burial ground. In the summer of 2014, the family graves were plundered on the same statuettes, but they could later be found.

- I hope the public is aware of the thefts so that the busts can be returned to the grave site again, says Jan Ottosson, former church caretaker in Kyrkhult to the newspaper.

Carl Eldh was one of Sweden's greatest sculptors in the early 1900s and was close friends with the author August Strindberg.
