• Interview: Emma Ozores: 'My uncle Mariano helped Pilar Bardem financially'
  • Legends. The hidden side of Paco Martínez Soria: "He was more a millionaire than his son can remember"

A Bourbon is to royalty what an Ozores is to culture. For this dynasty of art and comedy, entertaining the masses has been their best heritage. A decade ago Antonio Ozores died , epitome of what grace, intelligence and responsibility means. For this reason, LOC exclusively traces a profile through the friends who were part of his court, as well as with his only descendant, Emma Ozores, the sixth generation of this lineage and the fourth by mother.

Almost no one knows that Arévalo recommended Chicho Ibáñez Serrador to Ozores to participate in the One, Two, Three contest ... respond again because Tip had declined the offer. The humorist misses him a lot. He remembers several anecdotes: "We would arrive at the hotel very seriously, we would ask for the key and I would say: 'Hear me, please, some prostitutes with whom we have stayed here have not asked for us ' and Antonio pointed out' yes, yes, sluts, sluts of those ... '. And the one with the key was left broken "(laughs). And it continues. On a trip to Mallorca, "Antonio had some water pistols for some nephews and at the control, the policeman told him that he had some pistols in his suitcase, Antonio replied that they were a gift and after passing the control, he said: 'Run , run, they have swallowed it '". At the break from filming they had great fun: "Esteso, Pajares, Ozores, Juanito Navarro and I played mus or poker, we bet 500 pesetas (3 euros)."

Fedra Lorente La Bombi fondly reminds her in the Chicho contest: "I felt very sheltered, it took all the worries and nerves out of the world and I was always very calm before recording." In that same program, Leticia Sabater made her debut at the age of 20, but where she really became intimate with Antonio was in the comedy Taller Mechanico (1991), which had 5.5 million viewers. "Sometimes it gave the impression that Antonio was going through everything, but he had a spectacular ability to improvise . He always told me that he did not like studying the scripts because they seemed like a pain in the ass, so improvisation had helped him to study the half of half of half ", assures between laughs. "He was good-natured, respectful and let you shine. The scripts were written by Mariano, but Antonio finished off his part to make those abstract endings."

Marisol Ayuso is aware of how lucky she is because she has worked with the crême de la crême: Ozores, Gracita, Sazatornil, López Vázquez ... Since her confinement, she has fondly remembered the films together with Antonio, such as Cabaretera Operation (1967) or Objective Bi- ki-ni (1968). As almost all the filming was done in Marbella, "sometimes Paloma Cela and I were tired because we had stayed up late. We were the most rude, the youngest and we had a great time". His father, the great Pedro Pablo Ayuso, from the Radio Madrid actors, met José Luis Ozores 'Peliche', a brother of Antonio and father of Adriana Ozores, who died of multiple sclerosis in the María Guerrero theater. 1968, "so I learned from Dad that the Ozores were great people and companions."

Antonio Ozores and his daughter, Emma.GTRES

Antonio was the Ferrari of acting. Sometimes he shot three movies at once, so he used to fall asleep on set, "and no wonder they had to wake him up to remind him of the film's title to get the hang of it," he smiles.

"It's for you, dad," is what Emma Ozores exclaims looking at the sky before starting the show The Last One to Turn Off the Light , the last screenplay written by Antonio, and which still continues to be performed successfully. The actress reminds him like this:

What was he like in privacy? He was a friend and a father at the same time. He left me complete freedom and independence in everything, he never got angry, he had a very good character and I laughed so much with him that he said to me: "But what a good audience I have with you!" She was a very intelligent and prepared being despite having gone to school a couple of times. As a child she was very shy. How did you convince him to be an actress? It was really my cousin Adriana and I who told him that we wanted to be in this world. My father and Mariano [his uncle, film director] took us to lunch to tell us about all the difficulties of the profession and in desserts, they told us: "Do you want to dedicate yourself to this?" We said yes. Surely they would have preferred something more stable, like being an official (laughs). The most unknown facet of his father that is not in the public domain. He stewed very well and was an excellent photographer since as a young man he had a studio and revealed in black and white. When I cooked I loved their lentils and the stew, but I always put too many chickpeas, so we ate them all week, sometimes in soup, other fried ... He worked with the biggest ones like Gracita Morales, José Sacristán, José Luis López Vázquez ... I can't imagine what those meetings should be like at home, basically with the family. Since my father was always with his brothers, he didn't have many friends to go out there. Among them were Gila, José Luis López Vázquez, Fernando Fernán Gómez, Edgar Neville and Tip, with whom he went out to have a beer. I have the feeling that they left me alone because they all died. Did you absorb what they said? Yes, because they were the teachers. Now I don't make movies, but I don't miss it. However, if we were at that time, I would be sad to miss a shoot with José Luis, Mari Carmen Prendes, Manolo Gómez Bur ... (nostalgic). How did the famous phrase come about, no, no son? he started saying it with Lina Morgan. He was wrong, he saw people laugh and he continued. Which of his movies are your favorites? Bullfighter for joys , No, no daughter! and La hora incognita , directed by Mariano, won many awards at festivals and hardly anyone went to see it at the movies. From there, Mariano said that he was only going to shoot what people wanted.

It seems like a lie, but after 70 years of profession, Antonio Ozores had 810 euros of pension left. "What the government has done is catastrophic," Ayuso points out, but Emma consoles herself because "she saved a lot and she never lacked for anything greater." In addition, he made drawings that were printed on bags and T-shirts: "We sold more than eight thousand units and I will surely continue this business myself."

Emma says goodbye lovingly: "Thank you on behalf of my father."
