High-level athletes, including the Olympic medalists, are authorized from Monday to resume training in covered establishments, according to a Matignon decree which still sets conditions.

This decree published Monday in the Official Journal, which presents the main lines of deconfinement, stipulates that athletes registered on the high-level lists, athletes Hope and those of national collectives, as well as professional athletes, can train in establishments covered, with the exception of those practicing collective and combat sports.

For these activities, "the limit" of groupings to "ten people (...) does not apply".

The Ministry of Sports is to publish several guides on Monday for amateur and high-level athletes to specify the conditions under which they can practice.

For recreational sport, indoor training is still not allowed.

The Sports Ministry had said this weekend that high-level training centers (Creps, Insep) would gradually reopen from Monday. It can "take a few days to two weeks," the ministry said.

Since the start of confinement, two months ago, top athletes have theoretically had to comply with the same rules as all French people and train at home, or with the limit of one hour per day until one kilometer from their place of residence. Voices were raised within the federations to grant them exemptions and allow them to train in better conditions.
