During the Almedalen last year, Nyamko Sabuni presented the proposal to electrify truck traffic in Sweden. According to the SVD, the proposal originally comes from Scania and should have ended up with the Liberals via lobbyists.

- The thesis is not right. I try to describe how the decisions are made and I say that in 2017 my party made this decision, yet I am encouraged to have made this decision for the party. I did not make this decision for the party, I was not a member of the party when this decision was made. However, I have suggested to my party board that in order for us to accelerate the transition, it is important for the government to gather players. That's what was the proposal in the Almedalen, says Nyamko Sabuni.

"Good friends since many years back"

In SvD's review, Lars Leijonborg's influence on Nyamko Sabuni's speech is also highlighted.

- I talk to party members with different types of jobs, different levels and in this case Lars Leijonborg and I have been good friends for many years. He is one of the most successful party leaders the Liberals have had.

But that he is a lobbyist anyway? Do you see any problems with it?

- Yes, but he gets to work with what he wants. He could also be a pensioner or sit as a receptionist. There are no problems for Lars Leijonborg to have integrity and to distinguish between his lobbying and his membership and political activities in the party. Just as I can do it.
