Andrea Rinaldi, a young player trained at Atalanta Bergamo, died Monday at the age of 19 from a brain aneurysm, Italian sports media reports.

The young midfielder was unwell on Friday while training at his home near Como in northern Italy. He had been hospitalized in Varese, where he died Monday morning.

He had worn the colors of Atalanta Bergamo in youth competitions, from his 13 years and until the Primavera Championship (U19). This season, he was on loan to Legnano, an Italian 4th division club.

"President Antonio Percassi and the whole Atalanta family, extremely affected, associate themselves with the pain of his loved ones and that of AC Legnano," Atalanta wrote in a statement.
