The trial should normally have started on March 23 before the criminal court in Rennes. But because of the confinement, he had been dismissed, like many other cases. This Monday, the day of gradual resumption of activity in French courts, twenty-three people are tried by the specialized interregional jurisdiction (Jirs) of Rennes. All of Nigerian origin, the defendants must answer for being a traitor of human beings and for aggravated procuring. They are suspected of having participated in a vast prostitution network between 2015 and the end of 2018 on French soil, especially in Nantes.
