This weekend SVT Nyheter Öst reported on the high pressure on the nature reserves in Östergötland. The County Administrative Board now goes out and confirms the picture. They also ask visitors to think about how to park so as not to make it difficult for express vehicles.

- This could be a major problem in, for example, a grass or forest fire. Even though we do not currently have a fire ban in the county, it is still dry in the fields in some places, so it is still important to be careful in the outdoors, says Robert Wenemark, the accident protection officer at the Östergötland County Administrative Board in a press release.

Less pressure outside the urban areas

In order to reduce the pressure on the most popular reserve, the County Administrative Board wants to tip about the lesser known in the county.

- For those who want a little more peace and quiet on your excursion, we recommend nature reserves that are far from the urban areas. In some reserves there are marked hiking trails, but there are also several reserves where there are no trails or devices at all. Of course, you are most welcome to visit these natural gems on your own, says Lisa Johansson, reserve manager at the County Administrative Board Östergötland.
