At present, around 350 people are being tested for suspected coronamitta in the Uppsala Region, and the maximum capacity of up to 1,000 tests per day is not used.

The reason is, according to Region Uppsala, that only two priority groups are currently being tested, including severely ill and staff in care and care.

"So far we are trying out the groups that are prioritized by the Public Health Authority," says Johan Nöjd, infection control physician at Uppsala Region.

But at the same time, the government has been clear that corona testing should be scaled up to other socially important groups.
