According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the ship Rio Mitong, owned by the Belgian company SMART S&P SA, was flying the flag of Comoros.
Pogoreltsev added that the Ukrainian Embassy in Belgium is trying to establish contact with the shipowner and the operator of the vessel, while the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sent a request to the local authorities in Equatorial Guinea to confirm information about the abduction of the Ukrainian.
Earlier it became known that pirates attacked the ship Djibloho in the port of Louba Equatorial Guinea, as well as the ship Rio Mitong in the Gulf of Guinea, as a result of which at least three Russians were abducted, two more were wounded.
