In detail, the UAE yesterday sent an aid plane containing six tons of medical supplies and scanners to the Republic of Mali, to support it in limiting the spread of the new Corona virus, and more than 6000 health care workers will benefit from it to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus .

The UAE’s ambassador to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and the non-resident ambassador to Mali, Youssef Saif Al Ali, said: “Mali is an important partner for the UAE in efforts to strengthen the fight (COFED-19) throughout Africa, and will provide medical assistance provided by the country to Protect money for front-line workers. ”

He added that «the UAE stands with Mali at this difficult moment, and is confident that the world is able to overcome this crisis through multilateral cooperation and concerted efforts to combat the emerging Corona virus.

Amer Al Menhali, Chargé d'Affaires at the UAE embassy in Chad, said: “The assistance provided to Niger comes as part of the UAE’s efforts to ensure that health care workers throughout Africa, especially the Sahel states, have access to the personal protective equipment necessary to enable them to do their work in Front rows to combat (Covid-19) ».

In addition, the UAE sent yesterday an aid plane containing seven tons of medical supplies to Sierra Leone, to support it in curbing the spread of the new Corona virus, and more than 7,000 health care workers will benefit from it to enhance their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.

Omar Al Muhairi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Senegal said: “The UAE is committed to assisting its partners across Africa in the relentless efforts to combat the virus (Covid-19), and the assistance provided to Sierra Leone would enhance the ability of health care workers to combat This virus, by providing them with the protection and equipment necessary to ensure their safety. ”

It is noteworthy that the UAE provided, yesterday, more than 479 tons of aid to more than 44 countries, which benefited about 479 thousand medical workers.
