Between 25 and 50 hornets per day - so many Jerry Nilsson usually pulls out of the Sound during the pike season, a few weeks in the shift between April and May

- It's an explosive fish. It's fast fishing, you have to be there all the time and feel and have the feeling in the rod, he says.

The catch ends up on the grill and is shared with family and friends. Every season he eats a hundred hornets, but he does not tire.

- It is good. Like mackerel, he says.

A little away from him stands a group of friends from Åstorp and Klippan who do not have as many years of fishing behind them. Saturday was the second day in Västhamnen after the premiere on Friday, which resulted in a bunch of pike.
- We have never fished before so we thought we would test now. They say it's good fishing now in April and May here.

Magnus Gustavsson, on the other hand, does not plan to put a possible catch on the grill.

- I don't like fish.

One completely rescued fisherman who already got a peck on the second cast is computer game lover Tim Jönsson, who tested in search of a new employment. The computer has also been helpful in the new hobby.

- I've learned to fish a bit through siblings but mostly through Youtube and google, he says.
