"The second Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at the Chkalovsky airfield with military personnel and special military equipment from the combined detachment of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which performed tasks to assist in the fight against coronavirus infection in the territory of the Italian Republic," the department said.
Earlier it was reported the arrival of the first aircraft from Italy with Russian specialists.
Italian Defense Minister Lorenzo Guerini over the phone thanked his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu for help from Russia in the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection.
