“The overall goal is to increase radiation safety in the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant by improving the quality of environmental monitoring around the Vector complex and the Buryakovka radioactive waste disposal facility, as well as improving radiation monitoring within the zone,” the document states.

The EU is ready to allocate € 800 thousand for this project.

According to the application, the contractor will have to prepare projects for the implementation of measures aimed at improving the efficiency of equipment and installations in order to replace or otherwise improve existing systems.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky proposed preparing a Chernobyl development plan.
