Al-Jazeera Net-Tehran

Iranian Parliament Presidency Adviser Mansour Haqiq Boor has warned that his country will resort to difficult options in the event of an extension of the arms embargo on it, while other Iranian media have confirmed that Tehran has learned to bypass sanctions, and Washington can no longer press them through the economic portal.

On May 8, 2018, US President Donald Trump announced his country’s formal exit from the 2015 nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5 + 1 group, arguing that it did not include enough to curb Iran's missile program and influence in the region.

Tehran responded in May 2019 to Washington's withdrawal from the agreement and the return of sanctions by gradually abandoning its nuclear obligations, until it said last January that it was not bound by any restrictions in its nuclear program.

The American decision to withdraw from the nuclear deal harmed Washington's reputation before it targeted Iran's economic arteries, according to the adviser to the Iranian Parliament’s presidency, who considered that Trump's policy of leaving international treaties turned his country into an unreliable element at the global level, as he put it.

In his speech to Al-Jazeera Net, Haqqeeq Power notes that Washington's exit from the nuclear agreement made the implementation of its provisions a complicated task, holding Trump responsible for disrupting some of its terms, and stressed that Washington had not and will not achieve its goals for which it left the agreement.

Strategic Papers
The fact that Bohr believes is that his country's economic conditions have improved a lot compared to the period of the Iran-Iraq war (1980-1988). "We crossed the country to safety when we were then forced to sell oil cheaply, but we have had great experiences today in overcoming crises," he added.

He continues, "Washington today is seeking to extend the arms embargo by the second anniversary of its withdrawal from the nuclear agreement, but we did not allow this until after the funeral of the United Nations and its decisions."

According to Haaret Bohr, Iran has strategic cards that can be played in the event of the United Nations yielding to American pressure to extend the arms embargo, including not allowing the continuation of inspections of Iranian sites and uranium enrichment by more than 20%, and also exit from the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

And the Iranian official continues to say that his country does not want to resort to difficult decisions except when it reaches the great knife, stressing that there is nothing left for Tehran to fear its loss after extending the arms embargo unjustly and unfairly, as he put it.

Citizen's livelihood
and the economic and livelihood of the Iranian citizen due to the return of US sanctions, Haqiqat Bohr says he does not deny the inconveniences of Iran's economy, but Tehran has adapted during the past four decades to what he called the sanctions plot.

On the other hand, Iranian citizen Fatima Mahmoudi had another opinion. In her response to Al-Jazeera Net’s question about the impact of her family’s life on the return of the US sanctions, she said that prices had risen immediately after Washington left the nuclear agreement, before the sanctions originally returned.

Mahmoudi considers that the period following the return of the US sanctions on her country is the worst in her life during the past five decades, explaining that "the sanctions on oil exports reduced the state's resources and forced it to raise the prices of gasoline, which in turn doubled the inflation index."

And she concludes that the American withdrawal "has lost a very large segment of the Iranians the hope of a stable life that they felt after the nuclear deal." Stressing that she does not hold her country's government responsible for what has turned out, but President Trump, who insisted on anti-Iranians, she said.

Gate economy
, for his part, sees researcher Mehdi Dear political economy that his country was able to contain the pressure on the US economy, and what we have seen during the crisis Corona is better evidence of the recovery of the Iranian economy , despite sanctions and restrictions imposed on it from abroad.

And Aziz assures Al-Jazeera Net that "Tehran responded to the American pressure on its oil exports by raising its non-oil exports and freeing the budget from oil resources, which Washington fears." Considering that this does not mean nullifying the effect of the American pressure on his country completely.

And he stresses that the US administration will not be able to bring Tehran to a kneeling, especially through the economic portal, explaining that "Washington has failed to end Iranian support for Islamic resistance movements in the region by blockading Tehran's economy." The Iranian researcher adds that his country's economy exceeded the bottleneck, and that it was preparing for the worst possibilities with regard to foreign pressure.

He explains that the Iranian street has withstood the economic challenges of the past year, and has shown great agreement with his government's plans, because he is well aware that the main goal of the US sanctions is to revolutionize the Islamic system.

Azizi concludes that his country "has learned to circumvent the sanctions, and will open new avenues for every door the United States closes in the face of it."
