In times when many people like to avoid being crowded in the grocery store, online shopping for groceries is flourishing instead. Both picking up online grocery bags at the store and ordering home delivery have become increasingly popular, says Joakim Fors, head of business development at Coop Nord.

- There is a great demand for these services now both nationally and in Västerbotten.

Stores are expanding the range of services

Ica is also noticing an increased interest in e-commerce in conjunction with corona, which has led several retailers to expand their range of services.

- Many stores that normally do not offer home driving and pick-up will solve it in different ways for risk groups, writes Anna Rosman of the Ica group.

Largest increase among young people

Especially young adults, aged 18-35, say that they have increased their purchases of groceries online, according to a survey from the Swedish trade. But Johanna Eurén, communications manager at Willys, finds that many elderly people also find their online store.

- We see a large increase in the age group over 65.
