A five-year-old boy has died in New York of complications from Kawasaki disease, believed to be caused by Covid-19, Governor Andrew Cuomo said Friday.

New York State has recorded 73 cases of children in serious condition, with symptoms consistent with Kawasaki disease and toxic shock syndrome, Cuomo said at a news conference. The state health department is investigating the death, he said.
