In December, in China, patients with surprising symptoms began to be hospitalized. They suffer from a mysterious virus: covid-19. Is it contagious? Could it happen in France? In the first episode of "Coronavirus: tale of a world that has changed", Laure Dautriche returns to the beginnings of the crisis and the blindness of our societies.

Wuhan, China. A name that has become familiar. The starting point for the virus. In the middle of December, three patients are already hospitalized in this city located 1,000 km south of Beijing. But the Chinese authorities do not alert the World Health Organization until two weeks later ... Beijing wants to avoid a wind of panic. 

In mid January, however, the Coronavirus progresses. It has already infected more than 4,000 people, including around 40 abroad… That's when around 5 million people leave the city of Wuhan to celebrate the Chinese New Year in the rest of the country or abroad. A time bomb. France still has three air connections per week with the city of Wuhan, so it did not take the measure of the danger…
