Corona: The United Nations warns against abandoning poor countries and Morocco avoids the worst

The Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations for Humanitarian Affairs, Marc Lukoc, said that the failure of poor countries to combat the Corona virus could have an effect on the rich countries and the world at large, calling for the help of the poor countries, while Moroccan Prime Minister Saad Eddine Al-Othmani said his country avoided the worst scenario of recording 200 Daily death by disease.

The UN official added in a previous intervention with the island that it is necessary to help the poor countries in the course of their war against the Corona pandemic, pointing out that the rich countries are aware of the existence of a serious problem in the poor countries, and that there is a humanitarian requirement to help them.

The United Nations has launched a global humanitarian response plan, which raises the funding requirements for the Corona pandemic fight from two billion dollars to nearly seven billion to fund anti-virus efforts in the world's 63 poorest countries to save people living with HIV in it.
