The prefecture of police and the town hall of Paris announced Friday evening the reopening of several public places in the capital from Monday, May 11, including the Bois de Boulogne and the Bois de Vincennes.

A complicated deconfinement, but a deconfinement despite everything: Monday, in Paris, several public places will reopen after eight weeks of closure due to the epidemic of coronavirus. This was announced by the mayor of Paris and the police headquarters in a statement on Friday evening.

The tracks on reopened banks

Are concerned in particular the woods of Vincennes and Boulogne, on the outskirts of the capital, as well as the Champ-de-Mars, the Esplanade des Invalides and the waterways on the banks, bordering the Seine which crosses the city.

While they are prohibited from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sunday, individual physical activities will be authorized "without time restriction throughout the capital", while team or contact sports will remain prohibited, "even outdoors".

All shops will once again be able to welcome customers. In particular, the outdoor and indoor food and non-food markets from Tuesday 12 May "according to rigorous specifications and an organization adapted to the health situation".

Restrictions maintained

Certain restrictions will however continue to apply. Parks and gardens will remain closed, Paris being a "red" department due to the active circulation of the coronavirus and the high hospital tension.

Shopping centers and department stores over 40,000 square meters will not reopen, as will restaurants, cafes, bars, cinemas, concert halls, swimming pools, closed sports venues, multi-purpose halls and party halls.

The marriages are postponed until further notice, "except manifest urgency appreciated by the registrar". As for access to the cemeteries of the capital, it will remain primarily reserved for meditation and funeral ceremonies, up to a limit of 20 people.
