It was also reported that the Iranian earthquake monitoring department had previously stated that a 5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at the junction of Tehran and Mazandaran provinces, with a focal depth of 7 kilometers. The epicenter of the earthquake was near Damavand County, Tehran Province.
