The strained work situation at the intensive care unit at Sahlgrenska Hospital has caused the doctors to kneel.

 - We are many people who feel tired and worn out. In the long run, we won't be able to work the way we do now. Says Ingrid Stubelius.

On 14 April, the public health authorities announced that there has been a reduction in the number of intensive care patients. Now there is a concern that the statement will cause the public to relax and start living as usual - something that Ingrid Stubelius is phasing.

- It's definitely not over yet. It is so important that people take responsibility so that the situation does not get worse. The public must endure and follow the advice of the authorities. Says Ingrid Stubelius.

Risk of missing holiday

Due to the hard-pressed work situation, there is a risk that employees will not be allowed to leave. Not having a holiday to look forward to is seen as worrying and frustrates.

- We have received signals that our holidays may be shortened and shifted and it is frustrating not knowing if you will be able to rest and get a proper recovery.

Despite the pressured work situation, the employees continue to work as usual.

- We always stretch ourselves a little because we know that we save the life of the patient. If there is a patient, we will take care of it too. The situation looks like this and we can't just go home. Says Ingrid Stubelius.
