The Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, in partnership with the competent authorities, will launch a massive campaign to sterilize the Musaffah area from Saturday, May 9, in addition to conducting a free survey of resident workers to detect the Covid virus-19.

The campaign aims to ensure that health care services reach all segments of society, organize and manage the screening process for workers residing in the Musaffah area for their health and safety, and facilitate checks by providing free transportation to and from testing centers.

No legal measures will be taken against those who violate the terms of residency, as the priority is the safety of all and limiting the spread of the disease. The campaign includes the implementation of intensive educational programs to raise awareness when working with precautionary and preventive measures in their local languages.

The competent authorities confirmed that the campaign will be implemented gradually to include all the targeted basins in Mussafah, respectively, and coordination will be with the basins according to the sterilization and examination plan, with the continuation of business activity during the implementation of the campaign in the chosen region, and restricting entry and exit traffic to and from the region.

The duration of sterilization in each basin depends on the area of the basin and the procedures for comprehensive checks of people, and to ensure that sterilization is carried out according to the plan in place, before moving to the next basin.
