The Färm family lives in Gerrebacka, near Hisings Kärra. Gustav's son has gone to school with the same classmates since attending preschool class. In some cases since they went to preschool. But now it's over. When he starts fourth grade, according to the primary school administration, he should do so at Gårdstensskolan.

- We are very upset that he is the only child in his class of twenty-two to be forced away. The rest of the class is allowed to attend Klarebergsskolan, which he also wanted. For him, this is the worst thing that has happened, ”says Sofia Färm.

Where is the children's perspective?

She is one of countless parents who are, to put it mildly, dissatisfied with the primary school administration's placement of school students this year.

- There is no children's perspective in this. He doesn't know anyone at the other school. The most important thing for him is to go with his friends. And the road to Gårdstensskolan, across the Angereds bridge is anything but safe. Should a nine-year-old ride a bike there?

The alternative is bus, with change.

Sibling misconduct does not apply

In spirit, the family had chosen Kärraskolan. But neither did Gustav come in. The fact that Gustav's sister attends Klarebergsskolan does not matter, although there is something called sibling misfortune.

- It apparently only applies if the children attend the same school unit when the semester starts. Our daughter starts seventh and changes school unit at Klarebergsskolan. Then there will be no priority, says Sofia Färm.

But how could it be like this?

- The elementary school administration says that you have followed the principle of proximity, and that you have to draw a line somewhere. A girl two houses away has got Klareberg, so apparently the boundary between our houses, says Sofia Färm.

Many upset

She and her husband have appealed the investment decision.

Many parents have heard of News West, as upset as Sofia Färm and her family. Children in, among other places, Högsbo are forced across the river to Hisingen, many should not have been given one of five specified alternatives. Parents have teamed up in email chains to get a stronger voice.

The primary school administration has also received hundreds of appeals so far.
