Ibrahim Al Jarwan, a member of the Arab Federation for Space and Astronomy, expected that Ramadan this year will be 30 days, and that there will be an agreement between the majority of Arab countries for the month of Shawwal.

He told «Emirates Today» that “the moon of Shawwal 1441 will be born on Friday, May 22, 2020 at 21:39, i.e. after sunset, and it will be observed on Saturday evening, May Sunday, May 24, 2020, by the beginning of Shawwal, and thus it is expected that Ramadan will complete 30 days. ».

Al-Jarwan added that usually the month of Ramadan (and any month in the Hijri calendar) lasts approximately three years in the same calendar month, so it is expected that the next Ramadan will start on April 13, 2021, and Ramadan 1443 AH on April 2, 2022.
