At the end of March, the police announced that Rimfrost operation would be expanded and that additional resources would be made available to Uppsala police. The operation aimed at selected individuals in the criminal environment had already started on February 20.
"We have worked methodically and gone through all the people we focused on," says Catarina Bowall, regional commander in chief for Operation Rimfrost.
The result so far for the police region Mitt is just under 50 arrests, of which 20 people are now in custody, including for weapons crime, ill-treatment and drug crimes. The police have also made several seizures of firearms, cash and drugs.
