"Everyone's well-being and safety is the priority": Paul McCartney canceled his French spring tour on Thursday due to the constraints associated with the Covid-19.

The former Beatles figure will therefore not play on May 23 in Lille, May 26 in Paris (La Défense Arena), May 31 in Bordeaux and June 7, 2020 in Lyon.

"The group and I are so sorry that we cannot be with you, but these are unprecedented moments and the well-being and safety of everyone is the priority, writes Sir Paul in a statement. I hope you you are all doing well as we look forward to the best times ahead. "

Those around him said they had "looked into the possibilities of finding alternative tour periods in the calendar", but "this will not be possible due to Paul's many ongoing engagements".

Tickets for the concerts of the French tour will be reimbursed "at the point of sale" from May 12, 2020.
