Residents who fell unconscious and fell all over the town were witnessed. There are also small children.

Gas leaked from a tank at the LG Polymers plant in southern India around 3:00 am yesterday.

Nearly 1,000 residents were exposed to this gas, complaining of shortness of breath.

So far, at least 13 people have been killed, including a 6-year-old child, and more than 800 are being treated in hospital.

However , as gas leaked again today, more residents were evacuated.

According to local media, this time, residents within a 5 km radius of the factory were reportedly in a hurry.

The plant produces polystyrene resins, but it has been shut down as a containment measure to prevent the spread of corona19.

Indian police estimate that styrene gas, a synthetic resin material that was being stored in factory tanks, was leaked.

It is known that when exposed to high-density styrene, symptoms such as shortness of breath appear. Locally, there is a possibility that chemicals that were in a liquid state have turned into gas due to a defect in the refrigeration equipment of the factory.
